Remember how in Issue 12 I mentioned how one of the few things you should do at the end of the year is to collect testimonials?

In the meantime, I want to share with you a few more year-end hacks I do.

➡️ One: Instagram experiments

In my latest Instagram post, I share the experiments I plan to conduct this December.

Reason for doing these? Reasons. I want to understand Instagram better. I want to shake up the algorithm. I want to know what works.

Some of the things I’ve already tried:

Posting at a different time, i.e. non-peak hours - so far so good. Not much of a dip in terms of engagement.
Unfollow dead accounts - in the process of removing spammy accounts and people whose content I stopped consuming a long time ago.

➡️ Two: Case studies

When everyone else is busy celebrating or kicking their feet up, I take notes about the work I’ve done so far.

I hardly ever did this before. Or I did, but never actually documented the work I did and the results I garnered for clients.

I want to change this.

I want to start writing case studies about the work I do.

And you should do.

Has there been any significant result that you’ve generated for your client? Did you achieve anything as you have never before? Write about it.

Case studies these days don’t have to be a 10 page PDF report. It can be a blog post, and even a social media round-up posts (or carousel).

In fact, I want to help my clients write case studies for the work that they’ve done too!
